I am outraged by the despicable, cowardly attacks against Muslim New Yorkers in Bay Ridge last week—one of which was on a 12-year-old girl. This violence is unacceptable, and we know that all too often visibly Muslim, hijab-wearing women and girls bear the brunt of it.    Muslim New Yorkers deserve to live with safety and dignity, and to be able to walk our streets free from harassment, threats, or harm. Islamophobia has no place in our city, and violence or intimidation against Muslim New Yorkers is unacceptable.

This is actually a Senate filibuster. Even with a 53-47 majority, we need 60 votes to break the Democrats blockade. They are using all sorts of dirty tricks to prevent election transparency. We either have to break the filibuster system, or we have to win with a huge majority in November.

I don’t get it. Our GOP has the majority in the House and Senate, and a President with a pen in his hand ready to go. Yet, Congress refuses to stop the fraud or pass basic election laws.

Wording was awful. But he was talking about walking up to a law enforcement officer and getting into a confrontation. Also, he didn't mean you can't have guns. He meant if you get into a physical confrontation with a law enforcement officer, there's a chance you might not survive it. And he's right.

@ReallyAmerican1 I listed to what he said, and my impression was he was calling for common sense gun use, not control. If you know you are going into a confrontation with law enforcement, why would you need a gun unless you are planning for trouble?
