@MegRemSoftball As someone who was a catcher all through high school, when you are trying to make a play in the field, the batter all but disappears. This was an accident.

There is a right way to play this game and a wrong way and this is 100% in the wrong. I don’t care that the batter moved back out of the box- you don’t intentionally step back to throw at her head, as hard as you can, from about a foot away. I don’t want to hear “you don’t know it wasn’t intentional.” Save it. The runner at 3rd is about a half step off 3rd. The way the catcher is positioned to throw, that throw is going towards the 3rd base fence. The most telling part though? No one checks on that batter and catcher gets a high five right after from her coach. The batter ended up with a concussion. This is completely unacceptable and has no place in this sport.

I'd be a little concerned about a tree, that size, that close to my house. My son's neighbors have an oak that size on the property line. Every year the tree conveniently drops its leaves...on my son's property and then the leaves blow into the pool. 😑 A ton of leaves. As I am the one that hauls the leaf vacuum over and cleans it all up, several times each season, it's up to me to mutter and complain as I do the work. It's the neighbor's tree. Not my son's. But damn, I wish they would cut it down. 🙄

This is a story about a homeowner who bought their house last year partly because of a beautiful large oak tree right in the front yard. Since moving in, their neighbor who lives across the street has made a passive-aggressive remarks wishing the city would cut the whole thing down because she has to sweep a few leaves off her front porch from time to time. This neighbor even complained about the tree’s marcescence, where it holds its leaves through winter and drops them in the spring. Now the owner has come to social media, worried that the neighbor is actually going to try to get the city to remove the tree.
