@AOC is right. This is one of the Supreme Court's many moral stains. We need to enact major reforms before this destruction continues. Source: @PabloReports

As Bernie's 2020 policy director I worked closely with @AbdulElSayed and his experience was always clear. In fact, it's specifically that work and experience in public health that makes his voice and leadership so valuable.

Honestly the net result will be that more voters know Abdul is a doctor who has dedicated himself to public health.

We're demanding Paramount disclose its records of any corrupt agreements it made to get approval to buy Warner Bros. This is how we stop this deal from happening. latimes.com/entertainment-…

BREAKING: in recent weeks, some DNC members have privately discussed trying to force Chair Martin out of the job, according to three people familiar with these conversations. The idea was put on hold after members failed to identify an alternative candidate willing to step into the role. scoop from @Lauren_V_Egan thebulwark.com/p/new-drama-in…

Some Dem senators are still voting for Trump judges who refuse to say he lost in 2020 and that J6 was an attack on the Capitol. There's a delusion here that says a lot about whether our electeds think we're in normal times or not. Because we're not.
Demand Justice@WeDemandJustice

Today, without explanation, three Democratic senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to advance a South Carolina Trump judicial nominee who refused to acknowledge that Joe Biden won the 2020 election or that the Capitol was attacked on January 6th, 2021. This nominee, along with the 37 Trump judges already confirmed, disqualified herself by submitting to a political litmus test from Trump to prove loyalty. Yet in a midterm election year, just as Democrats are finding their voice standing up to Donald Trump, Senators Durbin, Whitehouse, and Coons yet again voted to enable Trump’s continued attacks on the rule of law. Put simply, there is no moral, political, or historical reason to vote for any judicial nominee who enables a president’s lies about his attempts to overthrow an elected government. Donald Trump is a wannabe-authoritarian abusing our legal system to punish his perceived political enemies. Just this week, Todd Blanche brought a second bogus charge against James Comey, this time in the Eastern District of North Carolina. Trump’s vengeance is not limited by geography, rationality, or law, and it’s impossible to believe that a judge unwilling to admit Trump lost in 2020 could provide a fair trial to, for example, an American facing a lawless political prosecution. In a time of crisis, these three senators have chosen a delusion of normalcy over their obligation to their country, their constituents, their party, and the Constitution.

Don't let Alito bamboozle you: SCOTUS just demolished the Voting Rights Act. My statement: “Today the Supreme Court gutted the remaining protections of the Voting Rights Act and handed Donald Trump even more unchecked political power as he wields the presidency like a power-mad authoritarian. “Make no mistake: this ruling isn’t about the law, it’s about power, and giving Republicans more U.S. House seats they couldn’t otherwise win at the ballot box, all while trampling the voting rights of communities of color. “Today’s decision is another example of why the Supreme Court has lost both its legitimacy and the trust of the American people. It must face fundamental reform if it is to once again serve our democracy.”
