@destroytoday Here's an after & before. Note in the after photo: drywall/plaster not yet touched up. The best part can't be captured by a photo, though: they're utterly silent when walking up them. The old stairs creaking would literally wake up the neighbours.

The first year of owning our home, we discovered a roof leak that forced us to replace our roof and rebuild our entire roof deck. Today our brand new hot water heater leaked and almost flooded the basement. I’m so tired of people keep asking me if I’ve seen the movie Money Pit.

@destroytoday Depends on materials chosen of course - we went with a hard maple because of our dog (more scratch resistant), and it cost about $600/step when it was all done. The guy also had to get creative because no one has built stair structural elements like ours for like 60 years 🥲
