The #49ers NEED to Trade back a few spots, add an additional pick on both day 2 and day 3, and draft D’Angelo Ponds. He’s A LOCK to be very good. You can never have enough tip tier corners. Ponds is great. The #49ers have screwed up their 1st selection way too often during this regime. Be more conservative. Take fewer risks. Go for sure things! This 1st selection track record is horrible. 2017-Solomon Thomas 2018-Mike McGlinchey 2020-Javon Kinlaw 2021-Trey Lance 2022-Drake Jackson 2023-Ji’Ayir Brown -Nick Bosa is their only for sure hit in 2019 and he drafted himself at #2. -Ricky Pearsall and Mykel Williams need more time to determine if they are hits or misses. Get Ponds. At worst, he’s Upton Stout 2.0 and Stout is currently your best young defender!

@LombardiHimself Job 1 this offseason is figuring out the injury situation. This can’t happen again. They need to put everything into solving this. We can’t continue to lead the NFL for 10 straight seasons in injuries and play with 4th stringers for most of the season + in playoff games.

Great season for the 49ers, who finish 13-6 despite a mass injury event of epic proportions. They even got a road playoff win over the defending Super Bowl champions. The 49ers eventually and predictably fell off the tightrope against a great Seattle team. Also solid considering it was Year 1 of the cap reset. SF did better than the 2023 LA Rams model. Fascinating offseason of opportunity ahead. Separators for Brock Purdy should be at the top of the shopping list
