@maxarus @JakeBaldino Reminds me of when i first saw their channel and thought it was called Gamer Anx
English

@JakeBaldino Now your channel is GameranX.
Wait that was already it.

@MarshSMT Man the effort you put into that game and this video is astonishing so it is well earned

Now listen .. 😄
If its true, and life on earth 🌍 is just a product of the probability of life forming on a planet in this vast universe, then i see no compelling reason why this hydro-carbon form should be the only possible form that leads to sentient life.
Think about the first cell that started life; a specific combination and order of molecules that chemically reacts just the right way to prime a life form. Needs some form of reproduction, an energy source, etc.
In reduction (wear the information theory hat, and think about that cell as a piece of information), if we imagine the binary representation of this combination of molecules or the reactions that lead into it (ie we write the blueprint as zeros and ones), then the requirements would be: a self-sustaining chemical reaction with specific functions supported (reproduction, ..). No matter what those requirements would be, the “code” underlying those functions can take many ways, with the same inputs and outputs.
Meaning, there are probably other combinations of molecules that would do the same functions our grandfather prime cell did. Maybe less efficiently, maybe more efficiently.
Totally different chemical reaction that would still lead to reproduction, or else.
On earth, the one that works (or worked) is the one that supported running with earth’s resources and conditions. But, In a planet where there is no sun, the main energy source could be the heat of the planet’s core, or whatever you could think of. That would probably take a totally different combination or 0’s and 1’s to build the prime cell.
Probably nothing like ours.
We really are just a product of our environments. The specie, i mean.
Think about the fundamentals. What identifies us objectively.
Water? Oxygen? Photosynthesis? Proteins?
ALL OF IT! Those are just whatever was available.
I remember reading something years ago about why water is essential, or oxygen, or certain temperatures. But anyone in the scientific community would agree that we are really stretching the extents of our knowledge here. It is usually outside the realms of science to predict such things. We don’t know what we don’t know.
Statistics is too reductionist here.
…
It would definitely be convenient if this was all wrong, and alien life forms were closer to ours. Easier to comprehend, at least.

@RasenBran FMA original for the emotional impact and brotherhood for the animation

@MarshSMT Decent story but horrible gameplay
Can we expect a video on it soon?

@ItsOmarshmallow You probably don’t have a cat allergy but what you might have allergy to the dust from the litter that covers them when they poop
