@carredondo28 Just because Preller signed him, doesn't mean Stammen has to use him. Stammen is the manager, and he decides who comes in and when. It's on him.

I’m officially out on Craig Stammen. I know it’s early, but he absolutely should’ve gone to the pen before the 6th, and Wandy Peralta should never see the field again in a Padres uniform.

@js9inningsmedia The alternative is literally Manny allowing the ball to hit him in the leg, which just wouldn't be smart. He's trying to get back to the bag, he's not going to wait for the ball to pass in front of him in order to do so.

@AJCassavell Someone better light him up in the postgame for this. Wandy already gave up a home run in his first pitch to Boston just the other day. It’s like he forgot all about that.

Craig Stammen went to Wandy Peralta with lefties Wilyer Abreu and Masataka Yoshida due up. Abreu laced a double off the monster. Yoshida followed with a two-run double down the right-field line. Tied at 6 in the seventh at Fenway.

I’ve been harsh on Stammen but trusting Wandy to get 1 out isn’t the worst decision of all time. With that said we have 5 better arms he could have chose from. On a more important note…is Wandy Peralta going to be cheeks again?

@carredondo28 Today we had a 2 run lead, needing 1 out from Peralta. First batter he faces he gives up a home run in any other ballpark besides Fenway (saved by the Monster) and gives up a 2 run lead. He isn’t an MLB quality pitcher

@jrobba With that said. Padres offense leaves no margin for error. This team isn’t built to come back. Not much power, like last season. Pitchers can’t constantly pitch where every pitch can lose the game.
