Maybe you should wonder WHY platforms are killing the hashtag. It was one of the few remaining ways for users to control content categorization/distribution. Platforms are incentivized to phase it out because it shifts organizational power away from real people and toward them.

As a rank and file leader in UAW, this is completely juvenile and despicable. Co-opting the militant rhetoric of the labor mvmt should not confuse ppl about the nature of this strike. Making demands on a union as a staffer is NOT the same as organizing against a corporation 🧵

Imagine if you woke up this morning and found that the NIH-funded database that holds all of the data that you and thousands of other scientists around the world consult every day was turned off. @thehousered Even the UAW leadership says that the decision was made about the breach of contract question not about the damages from the strike. The fact that you started blaming rnf by just reading the complaint from UC before any of the court documents were even available is telling.

@json_dirs Oh the worst part is he’s informed enough about labor law that he absolutely knows better. He did a thread on how they’re using ULP as a pretext to engage in a solidarity strike and that ultimately it’s a question of leverage not law in the first place. (Prior to the strike)

@ArsonAtDennys Idk them but seems like straight up podcaster brain, caught up in the bureaucratic-legal mythology of the strike and losing the entire plot of what strikes are and what they're for. Searching for any contrarian take that can make you Well Actually the smartest person in the room
