I think the hold up ended up being the Blues just kept asking for more b/c Thomas truly wasn’t available. Armstrong was seeing how crazy someone was willing to get. Just my read. They asked for Power early and it was a no. I’m not sure what player ended the Thomas convo. I was just told Norris wasn’t going to be part of it.

@KobeJones170 @NotTheJoeMarino Corsi and expected goals throughout the series at EV. Boston played a better 2nd game and the 6th game was their next best one IMO. But ultimately the Sabres were the better team the entire series and had full control. Which makes sense because they're the better team this year.

The Bruins and Senators may have been the most overrated wildcard teams in the era of those playoff format The Sens got curb stomped and outside of people who have chronic drought PTSD, most would agree that the Sabres were in the driver’s seat for most of that series

@NotTheJoeMarino To be fair bruins were in the drivers seat for 52 minutes of game 1, 60 minutes of game 2 and the first 35 minutes of game 3. It was a series if Boston didn’t shoot themselves in the foot.

@MatthewFairburn If you polled the players, Dahlin would win dirtiest player in a run away. And slew footing a guy in the last minute of a series clinching game where you’re up 4-1 is as bush league as it gets.

Charlie McAvoy has been the dirtiest player in this series, and he gets one last dirty play in. After getting tripped by Benson, McAvoy got up and swung his stick at him. McAvoy is -6 in this series by the way.

@whartman716 @CMDeDominicis Definitely wouldn’t be called a failure. The drought is broken and if we slid in and got knocked out we’d still be happy. It would be heart breaking and frustrating but the season is already a huge success.
