@jedipadmaster A recent article in the Globe and Mail that was encouraging. Districts in Canada are facing similar pressure from some parent groups but they are choosing to push back and support the training and expertise of their teachers to be the authority on choosing books for kids.

Today, I visited this lovely lady—what a wonderful time we had catching up. Patsy was my mother’s best friend when we lived in Lybster, Caithness. I hadn’t seen her since 1967, when I was 5 years old. She will be 82 tomorrow! It filled my heart with happiness to see her again.
