@ArkanyaGame @Taikwy Not sure if you're talking about any specific game/render you've seen, but this kind of shape is usually obtain by using some kind of noise generation (simplex, perlin), not by using different type of tiles even if it would probably be achievable.

@Taikwy Dithering aside, I've always wanted to see a tileset for these super wavy grass shapes because I cannot see the grid for the life of me. I mean thats obviously the whole point, but I would like to know how people make these and have them tile correctly

how do people usually achieve this dither/grassy looking effect? i've been just manually pixeling it, but there's gotta be a more efficient way than that right?

@Taikwy By the look of what you're doing by hand, I'd say that you can use noise (like simplex, perlin) to generate your different shades of grass. Then you can generate multiple octaves to add these details between different shades.

Last night, our first game The Rogue Prince of Persia won Best First Game at the French video game awards.🥹 Huge thanks to our players. Your feedback (including the very honest reviews) helped us make the game better and somehow end up on stage. We’re not buying a trophy shelf just yet… but if @AcademieJV ever considers creating a “Best Second Game” award for next time, hopefully we’ll have a shot at that one too.
