BREAKING: Back in March Trump claimed that the US blew up a "drug trafficking training camp," in Ecuador and released this video of the attack. Today we just found out, thanks to the New York Times, that it was actually a dairy farm. The US Government stated at the time: "At the request of Ecuador, the Department of War executed targeted action to advance our shared objective of dismantling narco-terrorist networks. This operation demonstrates the power of coordinated action and sends a clear message: narco-terrorist networks will not find refuge in our hemisphere." I am so f-cking embarrassed to be an American right now.

An American woman: "I watched a little girl from Gaza, the same age as my daughter, take her last breath on a dirty hospital floor." "She tried to lift her small head to blow a kiss to her mother." "I am ready to spend every moment of my life for the freedom of Palestine."

Ghalib says, Koi mere dil se pooche tere teer-e-neemkash ko. Ye khalish kahan se hoti, jo jigar ke paar hota Teer-e-neemkash is half drawn arrow and how it would be better if it was fully drawn, instead of this limbo No other language perhaps beyond French has such expressions.

urdu has a word for the pain of separation that contains, within it, the assumption that reunion is cosmically possible. while english is so spiritually bankrupt it can name the ache but not imagine its end.

Eleven years ago, the same date as today , all the Gulf states, except Oman, decided to fight and eliminate Iran in Yemen. The Yemeni people awoke to the deafening sounds of explosions, with no one knowing what caused them or their source. As the bombs rained down on our heads, we told them there were no Iranian military bases in Yemen, no Iranian military presence in Yemen, and no Iranian soldiers in Yemen They bombed ministries, stadiums, hospitals, homes, wedding halls, and all of Yemen's military camps. They attacked with their soldiers, mercenaries, and military equipment from the north, south, east, and west. They bombed the airport and the port. They completely controlled the media, with a single narrative: "We are fighting Iran." For nine years, they have been killing us, claiming to liberate Yemen from an Iran that doesn't exist. And today, they condemn Iran for defending itself. Even though Iran didn't start the war or initiate the attack, they label Iran's targeting of the American presence as aggression, hostility, and terrorism ...

Big boys of geopolitics wanted a red herring to hide their war plans. They looked around the world, searching for an eager-beaver country bumpkin who could be lured with a fake medal. They zeroed in on our man, who happily obliged. Embarrassing.
