@Palico17 i believe it diminishes the beauty of monster hunter combat; when you are able to predict a monster's behaviour and line up your swings it is much more satisfying than being able to just free-aim and force attacks to connect

@Palico17 it's too in-built to the gamevs mechanics, many weapons feel terrible in both its abscence and presence. for example, focus aimin increases your reach on many attacks, but playing without it makes weapons like switch axe feel like they have half the range they used to have.

@juzzi2118 Just remove the bind for focus mode if it's an issue?

@Twas_By_Design @Ryker1_ not even fast-paced pure action games like dmc, ninja gaiden, etc., allow you to free-aim attacks like focus mode the only thing i can think of that's similar to focus mode is blade mode in mgr revengeance, but that didn't impact the rest of your moveset

@Ryker1_ I wouldn't go that far. Being able to turn your character in line with your aim in combat is a staple in many 3rd person action games. It just took a while for Monster Hunter to allow us to do the same.

For me, it's better than clutch claw, better than underwater, better than mounts, wirebugs & any other "gimmick" we've had in the franchise for at least 15 years. It feels like a natural evolution of the combat in every facet. It's not perfect yet, but with some improvements in G-rank it can be, (focus strikes can be a little wonky). NEVER go back please Capcom. #MHWilds #MonsterHunterWilds

@Dynamo_Lynn apparently this lure pod AI was confirmed to be bugged in TU3, someone just told me today LOL

@juzzi2118 In Lagiacrus' defense, they used a Lure Pod on him, which always changes the monster's AI and severely reduces the amount of moves they can use while in the lure state.
