Today marks four years since Russia launched its full-scale war of aggression against Ukraine. Estonia stands firmly with Ukraine. We admire the courage, resilience, and determination of the Ukrainian people in defending their country, their freedom, and European security. These four years have brought immeasurable suffering, but they have also shown that Ukraine does not stand alone. Ukraine’s future is in Europe – as a free, sovereign, and democratic nation. Today, we remember all those who have given their lives for Ukraine’s freedom, and we reaffirm: Estonia will stand by Ukraine for as long as it takes. This video is from Estonian diplomats around the world to the brave people of Ukraine. Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇦 @MFA_Ukraine

Minister Andres Sutt: Europe needs more cross-border links and safer power grids. At today’s Energy Council Estonia backs strong funding for #CEF in the next #MFF. The attack on 🇫🇮🇪🇪 interconnector a year ago showed why we must invest together in cyber & physical grid security.

Dependency on Russian energy must end. Every euro paid to Russia funds its war in Ukraine. Alternatives exist. Ahead of today’s Energy Council, Minister Andres Sutt is hopeful member states will take a decisive step to end Russian fossil fuel imports into the EU. #REPowerEU
