$ASTS: 🇺🇸🇯🇵 The future is GOLDEN Japan to join Trump's 'Golden Dome' project, expects missile requests By Tamiyuki Kihara and Yukiko Toyoda OKYO, March 13 (Reuters) - Japan will inform the U.S. next week that it intends to join the "Golden Dome" missile defense initiative and expects that Washington may seek its help with missile production due to the Middle ‌East war and other conflicts, two sources said. Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi will announce the latest plan when she meets U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington D.C. at a leaders' summit on March 19, the Japanese government sources said, requesting anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter. Trump's Golden Dome project, announced last year with an ambitious 2028 timeline, envisions expanding existing ground‑based defenses such as interceptor missiles with more experimental space‑based elements, meant to detect, track and potentially counter incoming threats from orbit. But the project has made little visible progress so far. Details of how Japan will participate also remain unclear. The Yomiuri newspaper, which first reported Japan's plans on Friday, said Tokyo hoped the initiative could be used to defend the country against new hypersonic glide weapons being developed by China and Russia. Tokyo anticipates that Trump may request Japan to produce or co-develop missiles that could help replace stocks of U.S. munitions depleted by the ‌U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, as well as its support for Ukraine, the sources said. It is still considering how to respond to any such request, they added. Japan exported a batch of surface-to-air Patriot missiles built under license to the United States late last year, marking a historic break from its long-standing ban on lethal weapons exports. The Trump administration is pushing defense contractors to step up production of missiles and other munitions that have been drawn down in recent years. Tokyo is seeking to bolster its own munitions reserves to deter an increasingly assertive China and nuclear-armed North Korea. Patriot interceptors have been critical in intercepting hundreds of Iranian ballistic missiles and drones fired at Gulf countries since the U.S. and Israel launched their air war against Iran earlier this month. Ukraine has also relied on Patriots to defend its energy and military infrastructure since Russia invaded it in 2022.

$ASTS I actually don't mind some of @LuckyStuey takes on the satellite industry, he's clearly got a lot of relevant experience. And although I don't think he's completely dismissive of the AST story like some "experts," I do think he could afford to leave a little room in his thesis for the possibility that he has this one wrong. The dismissal of @thekookreport 's magnum opus is the kind of thinking that sometimes humbles experts. Stu thinks AST has designed the wrong solution to a relevant problem, relying on his expertise and the fact that competitors in the space are more experienced (despite the other competitors he lists, the only real competitor here is Spacex). Let's remember two fun stories that are relevant to both telecommunications and space. In the 70's, AT&T's own Bell Systems believed that handheld mobile phones were unrealistic. Their thinking was totally rational though - they believed that phones didn't have enough power, the antennas were too small, batteries couldn't support it, and there would be massive interference that couldn't be controlled. This meant they believed that the future of mobile was simply going to be car phones. Then Motorola built a handheld mobile phone and made the first call in 1973 (the engineer actually called his rival at ATT). The experts at ATT weren't stupid, they were just solving the problem within the constraints of the existing architecture they knew. Ones components improved and the architecture changed, trajectories changed. Now there are almost 8 billion handheld phones worldwide. Same thing happened in the space industry - for decades rocket scientists believed reusable orbital rockets were economically impossible. This seemed like the right take - added landing hardware would reduce payloads, reentry would destroy rocket structures, and the refurbishment costs could exceed the cost to manufacture new. So we just designed what were essentially expendable missiles for decades. Then SpaceX landed boosters. The original conclusion wasn't irrational, it's just that the assumptions stopped being true. So when someone says: "Phones can't reach orbit." "Satellites like this will overheat." "This violates link budgets." It often is just based on assumptions surrounding historical/traditional satellite architectures. History is full of experts confidently explaining why something can't work. Sometimes the hardest thing for them to see is when the rules of the system have changed. It doesn't mean AST is guaranteed success. I'll give them that. But they have been showing the architecture can and will change. Dismissing a new approach and solution because "that's not how satellites are normally built" has historically been one of the least reliable arguments in technology.

This is probably on par with the Ligado spectrum in terms of an “asset” for the company. The length of time for an approval alone tells us that there won’t be a third competitor in this space for years, if ever. It should raise the floor on the stock, and it could make us an even more attractive acquisition target for the right party.

$ASTS: Here's my current understanding of the deployment plan for 2026 👇 + Base case is 45 in orbit based on purely Falcon 9 launches on a mostly monthly basis at a rate of 3 satellites per launch, and then at least two launches of 4 each by the end of the year. These launches are all booked. + Upside to the 45 is achievable based on securing any New Glenn or "standby launcher" slots in 2H 2026. + Upside to the 45 is achievable if AST can get to four satellites per Falcon 9 earlier than what I am outlining in the attached screenshot. Watch for @blueorigin to ramp New Glenn cadence!

$ASTS: Remember when the bears kept saying that AST's delays will catch up and cause MNOs to rush over to Starlink? The MNOs understand the industry and technology better than anyone. They continue to choose @AST_SpaceMobile for a reason. Worldwide there are usually ~3 large MNOs in every country. I expect this pattern of AST taking 2/3 to repeat itself on a global scale. Starlink gets the leftovers. Now we're seeing AST dominance in at least 3 major markets: + United States + Europe + Canada

The beauty of $ASTS after every move is watching the same cycle play out. Bears and naysayers sit there waiting for that one red day so they can scream, “I told you so.” It’s a scam. No revenue. It won’t work. Overvalued. Zero chance. They cling to every headline, every delay, every intraday dip just to prove their point. What they won’t do is just admit they were wrong and move on. Or pivot. Or even join? And the best part.. every time the stock rips, they suddenly claim they’re short, or that it’s the top, or that this is the final squeeze before collapse. Meanwhile, the faces just keep getting ripped. See you at four digits 😘

$ASTS: It appears that the company might be targeting a batch delivery of 6x composite BlueBirds 8 - 13 in April, which could indicate that Blue Origin New Glenn-4 could be the next launch vehicle after Blue Origin New Glenn-3 completes deploying BB-7. Now we know why Blue Origin filed STAs for NG-4, NG-5 and NG-6 in rapid succession. I think Blue Origin needs cargo to launch and we might be accommodating them. That said, we still may be using 2x Falcon9 for the batch of 6 composite BBs. We'll see! I cover this and more in the X space last night.

In September, my life changed. I put almost every dollar I had into $KRKNF. It was a tiny Canadian defense company trading on the TSX-Ventures. But the thesis around its partnership with Anduril + the rise of subsea drones was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I'd been fascinated with the ocean my whole life, being a rescue scuba diver since I was 16. The Octopus (the animal that inspired the fictitious Kraken) has been my favorite animal since I was 3. Now I believe there are only a handful of moments in life where 1) you truly know something the world doesn't and 2) the universe gifts you extra conviction. So when they come, don't hold back. Since then some pretty amazing stuff has happened. - The stock has ran from $3 on my very first purchase to $6.39 as of today, a 113% return. - My YouTube video on the stock is at over 80,000 views. My original X post is at over 400K. - Kraken has been an exponent in helping me build a teaming community (and business) with over 50K on YouTube, 18K on X, 4.6K on Discord, and now 300+ subs on my new Substack. - Many other investors have gotten rich too. One guy put $2.5M full port in and now has $4M. I ran a poll in my discord and the members who responded has collectively made high millions in unrealized profit. - It's so cool these days that you don't need to go to Harvard or slave IB to have an impact on the stock market and work in finance. You can fire up a YouTube channel and an X account and start adding to the retail investing hive mind. There is mispricing EVERYWHERE. - It hasn't all been easy. My Mom was facing some extremely dire circumstances (now resolved) around the time I made my investment and I nearly had to sell. My discord server got ransacked by trolls at one point who cyber bullied me and harassed my fans. The sad part is they were KRKNF shareholders who had benefitted tremendously from my work. - Above all though, I've got to meet some insanely smart and interesting people. The work I do making content about stocks and investing fills me with passion. This is the most exciting time to be alive in history, and us retail investors are out here mogging hedge fund returns. This is just the beginning for $KRKNF. 10x plays only. Inshallah. ❤️🦑

@Reformed_Trader Part of me is hoping this time frame has been brought forward because Blue Origin is getting ready to make meaningful progress in launch cadence while Starship has had its challenges. Better to cash out now before the competition (on two fronts b/w BO and AST) starts to ramp up.

SpaceX is looking to raise $50B in this IPO which is more than the entire market caps of $ASTS and $RKLB. Not a chance in my mind these two continue to trade below what SpaceX will raise *NFA

Once SpaceX files to IPO and the valuation they're seeking makes its rounds I believe both $RKLB and $ASTS will look very cheap in comparison. Won't surprise me if SpaceX is shooting closer to $2T since the xAI merger. ASTS ~$29B market cap RKLB ~$35B *NFA

I have 27% of my $1.3M fund in one stock. My conviction around $ASTS explains why I am #1 on @joinautopilot over the last 3 months. As current market sentiment keeps space stocks sluggish, it's a good time to talk about AST. Most people still think $ASTS is a speculative space bet. But it's the toll both on an information highway being built above the planet. Many people still don't understand the business model. AST doesn't sell to consumers. They don't run stores. They don't acquire customers. They plug directly into the carriers that already have them. AT&T, Verizon, Vodafone, Rakuten, Orange, Telefónica and 45+ more. 3.2 billion existing subscribers. 50/50 revenue split. AST flips the switch and the carriers do the rest. At first we expect AST to be a premium add-on to carriers. And the WTP data is promising. GSMA Intelligence ran a global consumer survey in December 2025. 60% of consumers said they are willing to pay a premium for satellite connectivity. 56% in the US. 89% in India. And eventually mobile phone plans will just roll the $5-10 of additional value into the price of the plan. With its ridiculously high projected EBITDA margins (maybe we see 90%+) and the aggressive launch schedule through 27/28, it's easy to see a 4 figure share price for this company by 2030 even with conservative methodologies. $ASTS is the very essence of an asymmetrical bet.
