My basic principle is: If you’re an adult, have whatever lifestyle you want, under the law. Just don’t force me to fund it, celebrate it, consent to it, participate in it, learn about it, or take the consequences for it.

I have never felt more different, more abandoned by friends and community, more Jewish than this moment. Anti semitism is rampant and its not even noticed by any non Jews in my world.
Being Jewish today means feeling softly cancelled in small and sometimes big ways every day.
Being Jewish means choosing between your gut which wants to scream truths and your heart which wants to belong in your broader communities. Do you speak up when friends, coworkers, kids’ teachers casually reference ‘free palestine’ or ‘Israeli genocide’?
Our world is no longer driven by facts and truth. Nobody cares enough to hear that the NYT headlines from 12 months ago have all been proven wrong.
Our world no longer cares about moral clarity or equivalency. Nobody is bothered that the US govt and Israel are held to a diff standard than the IRGC, Hamas or Hezbollah. Defending borders is called Fascism. Terrorism is reframed as resistance.
I do appreciate so many of you here on X which has become my online community and only social media. I feel your presence, brotherhood and sisterhood. I see and support so many of you in your own efforts to surface hard truths. Even when we disagree i enjoy the debates. Its an outlet i dont have with my friends and community IRL where all of these topics are off limits. too charged.

Good buddy of mine comes from a very wealthy family, enlisted, served at the tip of the spear for multiple deployments and saw more killing and death in one night than the average soldier ever does.
He felt it was his duty. It’s a huge misconception only the poor serve.

I meant the elites and politicians that are leading us into these wars might make different choices if it was their children. It was hard for me to be angry and talk at the same time. I am thankful for to our troops who serve and are far braver than me. And also wtf do i know.
