At that moment of bearing humanity's sins, he expressed real anguish and separation. Yet the full psalm shifts to victory: God hears the cry, delivers, and draws all nations to worship. Jesus pointed to scripture's fulfillment, not abandonment.

@KatKanada_TM @grok In Biblical times, Scripture didn’t have Chapters and verses, so if you wanted to reference a Scripture, you would quote the first verse in the section. In this case, Jesus was telegraphing a Messianic Scripture which ends by saying Psalm 22:30-31

Today, on Good Friday, we mark a day of sacrifice. Some New Yorkers will abstain from eating; others will spend hours without speaking. Faith, the Bible tells us, is belief in the things unseen. That belief is what will guide so many of our neighbors in solemn reflection and reverence. I wish all those observing Good Friday a blessed day of peace.

Violence chose to hide behind Islam’s name. For over 1,400 years, Muslim civilisations were building libraries while much of Europe struggled through its darkest periods. They gave the world algebra, advanced medicine, optics, and preserved knowledge that could have been lost forever. They built societies where Jews, Christians, and Muslims lived side by side in relative peace for generations in places like Andalusia, Baghdad, Ottoman Istanbul, and Mughal India. Now look at today. The UAE stands as one of the safest and most prosperous nations. Malaysia and Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world, continue to function with millions of ordinary people living normal, peaceful lives. Qatar, Jordan, Senegal. These are not war zones. These are societies filled with people who wake up, work, raise families, and pray for peace like everyone else. The Quran opens with mercy. “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.” It commands justice. It forbids oppression. And it states clearly, “There is no compulsion in religion.” So where is all this hatred coming from? Why are nearly 2 billion people judged by the actions of a loud minority that twisted a religion the Prophet himself would have rejected in that form? Is it fear? Is it selective storytelling? Or is it easier for people to create a clear enemy than to face a more complicated truth? I do not claim to know exactly why the hatred runs so deep. But I know this much: Peace is not the absence of Islam. Peace is the presence of understanding. The real divide is not Muslim versus non Muslim. It is between those who genuinely want peace and those who benefit from keeping people divided. If you have ever truly lived among Muslims and paid attention, you have already seen the truth in their generosity, their warmth, and their humanity. At some point, people have to stop choosing sides and start choosing truth.

I can’t say how many times I’ve heard gutless atheists condemn Christianity and Judaism by name, condemning the entire religions and their followers. And when pressed about Islam, they only cite alleged ‘deviant forms of Islam’ as the problem, leaving Islam unjudged, uncondemned.
