38.6 LPA average CTC at IIT Patna. But sure, college tier doesn't matter. 🤡 Every year it's the same debate: "Skills > College." Then placement season arrives and companies like Google, Atlassian, NVIDIA, Adobe, Uber, LinkedIn, DE Shaw, Amazon, and Cisco show up on campus.

@nirajxdev avg scene at the homes of people who joined vit/manipal/thapar... better decision to join a decent tier 3 state college instead of paying 30 lakhs on these colleges...atleast over there you can get 10 lpa with less competition...tier 2 ke naam par scam. coming from ex vitian btw.

This is why I rejected Amazon’s SDE-II role: Because… I’m not an SDE 😁😂 Peak 2021–22 energy when Amazon recruiters were cold-emailing everyone for SDE II role 🤣 Anyone else from the good old days where if you had a LinkedIn profile you were automatically an SDE-II candidate? 😄

How one email from a @Meta recruiter changed how I look at recruiting A few months into joining OYO’s Tech Talent Acquisition team, barely any real corporate TA experience, still figuring things out. I received this email from a recruiter at Meta for a role in London and yes this was the same week Facebook officially became Meta. What blew my mind was not the brand. It was the effort The recruiter had clearly done homework on my profile, past companies, career moves, domains.. The message was thoughtful, personal and human This was pre LLM era, No AI assist, No templates, No shortcuts Yet he built instant rapport, Without a single conversation. That moment set a benchmark for me. I remember thinking This is how I want to operate If I do this job I want to do it properly I eventually said no to the opportunity I was not ready for relocation to London I did not feel ready for Meta’s bar yet And I wanted more time learning in a fast moving ambiguous environment at OYO But the email stayed with me. It taught me that great recruiting is not about spamming profiles. It is about intent curiosity and effort Funny thing, Years later we talk about AI changing recruiting. But the biggest differentiator is still the same. Do you care enough to do the work?

@coolcoder56 Base salary for freshers not more than 24 LPA FOR SURE.WHICH IS 2 LAKHS A MONTH PRE TAXES. POST TAXES SAY AROUND 1.4 Lakh , joining and relocation only for month... dont think you will keep getting joining bonus and relocation every month 😂

This is how much Microsoft pays you right after college. Freshers get this much. It is equal to some TCS employees yearly salary. That's why everyone wants to work at FAANG

@ndtv ask him to give a detailed press meet on how exactly they are going to implement that and a working model... pretty sure the management will prompt that too to an LLm and do some AI slop answers... ORIGINAL THINKING IS ALREADY DEAD

@aShubhamz Data structures is a filter; it happens across the globe not only in India, except for some really niche startups, even there i believe some coding round would be the first technical interview round

Hot take: Indian tech doesn’t have a talent problem. It has a thinking problem. We’re the only ecosystem where a guy who memorized 500 LeetCode questions is considered “stronger” than someone who has built products used by real people. Every week I meet developers with 5 years of experience who can reverse a linked list in 3 ways but can’t explain how their company’s business makes money. The obsession with DSA, FAANG worship, and certificate collecting has created an army of interview specialists instead of engineers. And before people get offended If your entire career can be replaced by a question bank and a YouTube playlist, maybe the problem isn’t the hiring process or companies
