@theliverdoc Every child is screened for lead in the United States. Not only those who have spent time in India. And it is because of lead based paint used in old buildings here in the US. Also FYI- The brochure you shared is Canadian.

Doctors in the United States screen children who have spent their lives in India and re-settling in the USA for blood Lead levels and Lead poisoning. This is such an important public health program that they do for children. Lead poisoning among children is highest in India. Lead poisoning is also an important reason for poor school performance, reduced cognitive abilities, poor memory and school performance among children. The worst part is, Indian parents further try to improve children's memory and cognition abilities by giving them more herbal remedies such as the absolutely useless Brahmi. Herbal/folk remedies and adulterated turmeric are among important causes for Lead exposure among children and adults. How many Indian doctors or parents screen children for [unknown] Lead posining here in India? Would you like to start?
