@Ed_Miliband Any deranged cunt who thinks ‘renewables’ endless index linked subsidies for those ‘renewables’ carbon taxes and all the other net zero bollocks will ‘control the global weather’ should be either indefinitely sectioned or tried for #treason with the traditional sentence applied.

The pattern’s the same every time: Reform get caught out, and their immediate response is to deny all knowledge. “Never knew him”, “never met him”. Once you see it, you won’t miss it.

@Telegraph His climate change act in 2008 was his first act of treason. Nearly 18 years of the UK government acting against the interests of the UK in order to somehow ‘control the global weather’ It’s no good simply voting him out, the sanctions when they come have to be far more severe.

A growing number of Labour MPs are for the first time publicly calling on Ed Miliband to reconsider his net zero agenda, amid pressure to shore up domestic energy supplies in the wake of an energy crisis caused by the Iran war. 🔗: telegraph.co.uk/politics/2026/…

@UKaForceForGood Your point being? I'm not sure that anyone with any realistic view is suggesting that zero oil will be drilled, just that we significantly reduce the amount of oil that is simply burned. Lubricating a wind turbine for a decade is a much more worthy exercise than burning it.

Wind Turbines need crude oil-derived lubricants to keep them turning. Around 80-100 gallons changed every 1-3 years depending on location. At 12,000 UK Turbines, that's a need for 1.2 million gallons of oil on a regular basis. Has Ed Miliband forgotten that inconvenient fact?

@BBCNews Next to bugger all new #nuclear in the UK is the Thatcher 1990, Miliband 2008, Clegg 2019 dividend. A disaster some 35+ years in the making We are repeatedly ‘governed’ by cretins We are repeatedly ruled by the clueless evil green blob

Faced with an energy crisis - the UK and EU countries mull the benefits of nuclear power in their search for increased energy independence.. But how safe, practical and cost-effective is nuclear really? bbc.com/news/articles/…

Renewable energy prices don't ~f L u C t U a T e~. Total cost is known at construction and recouped over 15-30 years. For folks worried about power bills spiking and rapid increases...it isn't because of renewables - those prices are set. Natural gas prices are wildly variable.

When will the Chancellor see that imposing a 78% tax on domestic oil and gas production does not maximise revenue when she bans all new exploration and production. Why is she so keen we pay huge taxes on oil and gas to foreign governments on imports instead?

This post is bang right on one thing - you buy a wind turbine or solar panel and you have power for 20 years. No one can hold you hostage and you don’t have to keep paying. If you buy a barrel of oil or a cubic meter of gas it’s gone the moment you use it. Renewable energy is there for decades. Fossil fuel is disposable. It’s a subscription product from very unreliable providers.
Stokdog@stokdog

Renewable is a lie. Wind & solar hardware is non-renewable garbage. Build once for trillions. Works ~20 years if you're lucky. Then dead. That's your "green" future. ONE BIG SCAM. Hit ♥️ if you agree

Day 1 as Energy Minister Grangemouth was the first thing in my in-tray. The Tories had done absolutely nothing despite knowing the issues. No plan. Not even a call to the Scottish Government. In 13 years not a single meeting with all of the UK's refineries. A shameful record.
Claire Coutinho@ClaireCoutinho

Last year Britain lost a THIRD of its refineries. Why? A Carbon Tax on industry that Ed Miliband doubled. We won’t need any less petrol, diesel, jet fuel, ceramics or chemicals - we'll just rely more on foreign imports. We must axe the Carbon Tax and save British industry.
