@qqqspx My guess is a lot more is still to come if the Leafs are serious about being a playoff contender next year.

Raddysh & McKenna added for nothing. Top line winger, top RHD. The league isn’t prepared for the leafs to be good next yr.

@OgiOgilthorp Generally winning the Calder means the Leafs have a strong farm team that just isn’t good enough to play at the NHL level.

@JayOnLeafs Not sure any contending team would want Rielly. Maybe a bottom feeder but does he want to go there?

The worst thing the Maple Leafs could do right now is wait around and let Rielly fall back in love with Toronto, because the risk of doing so far outweighs the reward. The time to move the defender is now, here's why: hockeybuzz.com/2026/06/20/tor…

@mattlabelle Matt, in all due respect that’s BS. Marner is a Toronto kid who would have loved to succeed here. He didn’t accomplish his dream, but he has never said a bad thing about Toronto, even though his car was robbed at gun point and there were a few that harassed him. He loves Toronto

The narrative that Toronto isn’t a great place to play is media driven and the main catalyst was Marner and his camp playing the victim card. A lot of players would love the opportunity to play on the biggest stage and know how special it would be to win here.

@Banx_Leaf Good analysis. Major question is what is Matthews Prime? 60 goal scorer or 40 goal scorer…big difference. Also Tavares not only is a year older but a year slower. Yes he is smart, but time catches up with all.

The leafs are basically split into: Youth: Mckenna, Knies, Cowan, Danford Prime: Nylander, Matthews, Raddysh Old guys: McCabe, Rielly, Carlo, OEL, Stolarz, Tanev, Tavares Move off from Rielly Carlo and add another under 30 player and we don’t look half bad

Raddysh being a legit threat from the point should make the Leafs’ powerplay more versatile and give guys like Matthews more clean looks. It will be harder to defend a powerplay with a clap bomb option

@LeafsTok Bottom line is the Leafs need a Dman that has a big shot and can quarterback the PP. Raddysh was the best available option, so good on the Leafs for filling that need. With the cap going up, this contract will only look bad in the last 3 years.

THE LEAFS JUST ACQUIRED A 22-GOAL, 70-POINT ELITE OFFENSIVE DEFENSEMAN FOR A 5TH ROUND DRAFT PICK. JOHN CHAYKA WITH THE FLEECE OF THE CENTURY.

Seeing Leaf haters try to put a negative spin on the DR acquisition is fantastic! He can regress next year...and it's still a big improvement for the Leafs...

@Leafslatest Are we going in circles? We are going back to Dubas highly skilled fast free wheeling hockey like when Matthews, Nylander and Marner entered the league, versus building for playoff style heavy defensive hockey?

Wants to play an exciting, fun brand of hockey that the players enjoy, doesn’t mind the pressure of being in Toronto, already has experience in Toronto, and is known as a player-first coach. Something tells me Jim Hiller is going to be just fine as the next head coach of the Maple Leafs. #Leafsforever

@TalkeyHockey McKenna and Cowan are unproven, but yes with potential. Tavares is getting older and slower every day. Tavares was -30 last year. Nylander great offensively but defensively not great. Mathews of old or recent is the big question. Knies, can he take a step and stay injury free?

LA's best players were old (Kopitar, Doughty) their stars were barely capable of snagging 60-80 points (Kempe, Fiala, Byfield) and you're telling me that HILLER was the problem? Leafs suspected top 6: Mckenna Matthews Nylander Knies Tavares Cowan I think he's gonna do great

@MapleLeaves34 It’s Mitch’s life and not yours. Mind your own business. Mitch had a NMC and controlled the situation as a right he negotiated. If you have a beef with that criticize management not Marner.

Everyone says how could Mitch Marner accept the trade to Carolina with a pregnant wife at home... Well, if Toronto was so mean and dangerous for the Marner fam, why would he keep his preggo wife here to deliver a baby? If my family was in danger, I'd get the hell out.

As someone who struggles often with mental health, what he said was so meaningful and sincere and honestly scary. The comments about him on the other hand are disgusting. If someone has to remind themselves to stay and you call them a liar. You are a bad person. Full stop.
Taylor Rocha@TaylorRochaTV

Credit to Mitch Marner for opening up about his mental health. Addressing his recent "dark times" comment, Marner says there were moments when "the thought of playing hockey was really tough." "People want you around, people want you in their life." 💛 #ForgedInGold

@TDChrisG Chris, I listened to your turning points on your podcast. A big one was Marner miss on the penalty shot against Bussi. 1. Bussi and the team gained some confidence from that. 2. If Marner had scored, no way Carolina would have come back and put that doubt in VGK’s head.

@globeandmail Marner had three goals and four assists in games five through seven of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. VGK played a total of six games five through seven during this playoff run.

It was a case of history repeating itself for Mitch Marner… Despite a dominant overall playoff campaign, the scoring dried up when Vegas needed it most 😬

@tmlfaninvan The fact that Mitch supposedly left and walked away not only from his hometown dream team, but also more money should tell you something. Toronto is toxic and he felt he could live a better life elsewhere. Smart decision.

@Jay_D_Rosehill @thegoldenmuzzy @LMTake_ @TLNdc Everything good he does is qualified, weak teams now injured goalie. How about Bussi playing great? How about Carolina smothering not only him but also Eichel and the entire team? How about Carolina playing the heavy cycle game when VGK were supposed to have that advantage?

@Jay_D_Rosehill @thegoldenmuzzy @LMTake_ @TLNdc Still had more points against a very good Carolina team I the playoffs than ANY other player in any of the series. Vegas got 2 games off of Carolina and all the other so called strong East teams only got 1 win. Why try to always blame. Carolina was better…Period.

As phenomenal as Mitch Marner was for much of Vegas' playoff run, you look at the numbers at the end and I can't help but feel they look familiar. @thegoldenmuzzy | @LMTake_ | @TLNdc My thoughts ⬇️
