I find this take to be a real bummer because while emotionally intelligent men are not overly plentiful, they do exist, and it is okay to expect that. IMO women just giving up on men emotionally connecting is doing men a disservice.

The og intent of “he doesn’t like you”, “he hates me”, “he’s not that interested” was to accept low effort as a sign the person just does not care enough and to know someone who really liked them/cared would treat them better. But it became “you’re not good enough” real quick.
