sorry if this is dumb but when it comes to the conversation of overconsumption on book spaces what's the difference between someone buying a shit ton of books to read vs someone who buys multiple versions of one book (could be a classic too)sm so it fills an entire bookshelf /gen

@doryreads imo the latter would fall into the useless overconsumption more so bc even if you buy several diff books at once you'll end up reading them some day whereas buying versions of the same book is just stupid and futile especially when you've already read that book
