Almost like they looked at this class and said, “this draft kinda sucks—let’s just go get OUR guys.” That’s exactly why they kept trading back… stack picks, then reach for the players you actually believe in.

The real problem with draft big boards is you grown adults think because this person is on TV they know what they are talking about and that's clearly not the case. Data says otherwise. Some very smart folks cover the draft on media side. Consensus boards out-draft many teams. Hit rates drop when teams veer extremely from consensus boards. Check out the book The Wisdom of Crowds.

Draft example: If the #49ers took Denzel Boston at #27 nobody would have called it a reach. Fans would have been happy and draft pundits would celebrate it. Reality is Boston fell much further and NFL teams boards clearly told you #27 would have been a reach. Food for thought

The whole idea that a pick can’t be good because he went higher than in irrelevant mock drafts is very tied to how wrong many continue to be dead wrong about how good Brock Purdy is. They worship draft order instead of actually watching football and understanding its meritocratic nature. Once picks report, no one in the building cares where specific players were drafted. We need to stop this big mfer. People don’t realize how important this is. It’s not just about him, it’s about pushing back on garbage influencers and raising the standard. We’re literally sliding into Idiocracy. If this keeps going, what does it look like in two years? This guy is 100% going to inspire others to do the same, creating a new wave of influencers dancing, yelling, and being loud and annoying everywhere. As a society, we need to draw a line and say enough is enough. The only real solution I see is to boycott the places that pay for this. If using these kinds of influencers becomes a net negative for businesses, they’ll stop. Money is the only thing that will make them listen. I’m going to keep this movement going as long as I can to raise the standard. This restaurant is Bigtime Eatz in Michigan. TOGETHER, WE STOP IDIOCRACY ✊
