There is, for good reason, a lot of discourse about Challenger tonight, but I have found that people often forget about the Columbia disaster. This is likely due to a variety of reasons, including the fact that it occurred while the country was at war in Afghanistan and just days away from invading Iraq, all while still reeling from 9/11. Rabies is 100% fatal if you don’t get that vaccine AND the US only has enough smallpox vaccines stockpiled for the Armed Forces. We test to keep it out of gen pop cause it’s OVER if it becomes endemic again. Thanks MAGA

Plenty of Americans want to be doctors. Our medical schools require 4.0 GPAs and 528 MCAT to get in and those with a 3.5 science GPA don’t get in. This is drastically different than the medical school requirements 30 years ago. American taxpayers pay for resident salaries at hospitals through Medicare. And 30% of resident spots (which are extremely limited) go to non Americans who went to schools that are easier to get into than American medical schools. I don’t understand how people think this is fair or normal
