introducing Ascii: The pocket CTO
you send it voice memos on Telegram or instructions from your desktop
then Ascii handles it all:
> writes code and sends you demos, PDF reports and hosted builds when finished
> orchestrates many cloud coding agents working in parallel that can plan, code, test and use their desktop
> uses codex, claude code SDKs & subscriptions, no API keys required
> works on multiple repositories at once
> setups cron jobs and webhooks to schedule work when you sleep
> supports secrets, git hooks, full cloud machines config with sudo & 60fps desktop access
Welcome to a new era of software building
where coding agents aren't mere assistants anymore,
now they're as valuable and proactive as a world-class CTO, always at arm's reach, in your pocket

yesterday was my first day at @AnthropicAI !
it was killing, the team ships so fast that i couldn't keep up..
i was wondering how they can all ship so relentlessly until a lead engineer told me we have a company policy to just ship code without.. reading it? no code review? just straight to production?!
i then decided to vibe code with capybara v2 ( the newest version of sonnet and opus ) just to make sure i could get my todo's done for the day.
i ended up shipping claude code on the main and unfortunately forgot to git ignore some files resulting in auto updating the github action to our npm install oopsie..
oh well..
just when i went to sleep, dario started sending me slack paragraphs full of philosophical stories about the next tech renaissance and how this rookie mistake was not a problem since we're close to reaching agi anyways.
he then told me that the newest ai models ( under internal name numbat ) is going to be so good that they're essentially amazing for internal security! its so good that it has to be 3/4 the size of opus just to be good enough to read a system prompt without verbose!
suddenly i felt great again! because i'm getting paid 300k a year, to be an engineer, that is unable to check the code i shipped myself!
but you know, we're building agi anyways, we're replacing each engineer with ai agents writing the code. so nothing to worry about :)
