@HIGH_FASHlON So grow a garden is worse than all the pedo games on the platform… you need some help.

@const003 Coldd Development are experts in their field with their hit game.... oh right

Please don’t use my game as a ‘study’ to sell people your services.
Also just for clarification, we didn’t make Steal a Brainrot with the intent/purpose of making it as addicting as possible. We just had fun making the game — there is no method to making a big game as opposed to what people assume or claim based on their ‘research’.
Just have fun making games and you’ll get there. Some people get a big hit faster than others, some people take longer.
But please do not pretend to have ‘cracked the code’ by making this post if your objective here is to self advertise using other games’ success. I am all for developers making inspirational posts and don’t care what game is talked about, but it’s ethically wrong to talk about topics like these if you are just trying to shill a service to others by just saying buzz words.

I've been getting a lot of msg's checking up on me since the Hytale cancellation, so I feel you deserve an update from me.
I've invested a significant amount of time and energy into prep work, and held off important life and career decisions anticipating working on Hytale projects. I'm obviously devastated, and the coming weeks will be very difficult for me to process.
I've already been at a low point with my mental health (loneliness, isolation, burnout, etc...) and this event really made me stop and reconsider what it is I want to do on the internet. I realized how much I miss regularly streaming, talking with chat, reading comments, especially getting approached by you awesome ppl in person at events like VidCon.
With that said, there's no more "survive until Hytale". I'm done prepping, being strung along, "investing" in some unconfirmed longterm content goal. I'm going to make what I want when I want, and that means I'll be experimenting more soon, and much more frequently than 1 video per month. Content Creation makes me happy, but it can't be tied up in the anxiety and avoidance that "Survive until Hytale" gave me.
I'm still navigating my personal issues, especially with dating (lmao) and my social life in general. More than anything I want to be invited to hang-outs and contribute to a friend group that I see on a regular basis (weekly?). Shout-out to my VidCon group, this past week has genuinely done so much good for my mental health, simply being with people I vibe with makes me feel so much better, alive again. My issue though, is that VidCon only happens once per year. Are there any CC's from the Tampa FL area down to chill? I just can't take another year of the isolation I felt in 2024.
Thanks for checking up on me. I know I'm not great at initiating or reaching out but I do always enjoy hearing back from old friends, please don't give up on me if I don't respond right away <3

@theromarket @_ixjah Blox fruits, it has a proven success record long-term and is one of the highest grossing game with a extremely loyal fan base. Grow a garden may be extremely viral and successful for now, but I don’t think it will maintain this in the long term.

We're giving away a FREE game! 🚨
But first, answer this.
Which of these top active games would you buy?🤔
How would you grow it even more?
We're all about game ownership, so... the most liked comment wins a FREE unreleased anime game 👀

@A1exBR_ 30% fee is wildly high, I thought the other competitor had some seriously obnoxious pricing.
English

@m00tis @Cedralian @do_bigR Your only points are unrelated topics like fast food or actual businesses. This isnt real life this is an online platform where people can come together and make something great, what we actually get is shit cash grabby games
English

@darkviper @1RoneTYJ @Cedralian @do_bigR All companies chase profits - you can’t always please everyone in business, I understand your point - but a major point of the distaste to those companies is that they are paid games with many micro transactions behind a paid product.
English

@m00tis @1RoneTYJ @Cedralian @do_bigR And this is why everyone hates EA, Activision, Zynga, etc. Companies that purely chase profits and milk their audience vs thrive for quality and experience deserve the negative reputation if they aren’t balancing this. You can’t be loved if all you’re doing is chasing the dollar.
English

@1RoneTYJ @Cedralian @do_bigR Many emerging front page games blow up over night etc. Their internal business structure isn't set up to handle weekly updates and tens or hundreds of thousands of CCU. Do Big usually buys majority stakes, not full acquisitions. Without DB many devs would of killed their games.
English

@m00tis @Cedralian @do_bigR If the game has the potential to hit the front page without any help from corporate giants, then it has the potential to last on the platform. Most of doBig games acquisitions came from front-page games.
English

@1RoneTYJ @Cedralian @do_bigR depends on what the business model is - for the most part, the vast majority of Roblox games have short life spans that sustain high CCU's but a few exceptions. Some developers make the most whilst the game is still hot.
English

@m00tis @Cedralian @do_bigR Yes, the goal is to retain and grow CCU, not to make the game "Oversaturated" just to increase the profit margins destroying the game in the long run. Unless it's for fast returns & short-term gains.
English

@1RoneTYJ @Cedralian @do_bigR I don't know any company which has acquired another company that hasn't strived to increase revenue. That is the entire point of business, even not for profits. Make money. You're a game designer, a key principle is to retain and grow CCU, and make money which Do Big does...
English

@m00tis @Cedralian @do_bigR Do big is disliked because they turn pretty good fun games into cash grabbing milking cows. Destroying the enjoyment of the game. They’re one of the best companies to develop games but they make their games so pay2play. Which kills it and the community.
English

@Sable_Evo This is difficult to answer, many factors go into this. It depends on the demographics of the content creators audience and themself. It also depends what type of content they push, and based on if the creator has done past collabs with companies, and what the results were etc.
English

@Cedralian @NolzVfx @do_bigR Tell me how they steal profit. Is creating a product that more people play now considered stealing, is McDonalds stealing from other fast food chains because they have a larger market share?
