Pretty wild to think about a Sabres playoff run for the first time in my adulthood life. I have no idea what’s that like. Am I just going to turn into an alcoholic for potentially two months straight?

I’m bingeing on The Cars because I’m reading Bill Janovitz’s fine new book on them and look: I got and loved each record back then and they were all over the radio and MTV but I’m finally old enough to appreciate how deftly they walked the art/pop line. Just a perfect band.

@JamesRadio Funny thing is, JJ was right…just not for long. I was at that gm and Sabres were terrible that night, believe it was OP in particular who had some brutal turnovers…but that was probably the last truly bad gm they had, been on 🔥 ever since, Go Sabres!

I'm going to tell you this, and it's not an exaggeration. I watched the Sabres game at a packed Imperial Pizza yesterday. I've never seen more people in Sabres gear in the past 20+ years than I saw yesterday. Sabres gear ALL OVER the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. Insane.

If you knew the struggles that these actors went through to give us the gift that The Wire is… Beautifully flawed people playing tragically flawed characters. I hope all the people that couldn’t get into the show give it a 2nd, 3rd, 4th chance. You won’t regret it.

The ending of The Wire (2002–2008) ties everything together and still leaves so much unresolved. New faces step into old roles, the cycle keeps moving, and the show refuses to pretend anything really ends. Bold way to close it.
