If you want to see an AI agent work the worst job on the planet, watch as Numeral’s tax agent navigates a state sales tax portal. Every time you remit sales tax, you basically have to navigate portals like this. I say “like this” because there are 50 states and 190+ countries, so of course no two are the same. Thankfully, it all boils down to a bunch of data entry and confusing rules to interpret and follow. So to an AI agent (like Numeral’s), it’s a breeze. But still, even fancy Cisco hold music can’t save how annoying this is. And if you’re a founder, you have to do this hundreds of times. Thanks to our team for making this happen; I wouldn’t wish this task on my worst enemy! (h/t @browserbase and @pk_iv - we use BrowserBase under the hood to run this, and couldn’t imagine it any other way)

Feels so surreal but we did it.. $83.3k+ MRR / $1m+ ARR 🥲 If I'm being honest, hitting a number this high felt so out of reach when we first launched Cat toys & treats? Really..? The idea seemed so ridiculous at the time, but I figured what the hell, let's give it a shot by focusing on a great customer experience & telling our story and see what happens My girlfriend and I have gone through so many ups and downs to grow this thing Endless days working our full time gigs, then packing orders until bed time Burning through so much money on ads to try and figure out an angle, offer, etc. that would keep us afloat Countless 50% off SMS and emails when we had $5.80 left in our bank account to recoup a couple hundred bucks to afford shipping until Shopify payments were deposited Always asking friends and family for some extra help packing orders, even for just for an hour to give us a little bit of free time For almost 2 years straight But now... My girlfriend was able to quit her full time job she hated to do ops for catbox full time We have hit a new record month every single month for the last year Moved our ops out of our spare bedroom and into a warehouse 5 minutes from our house Hired 3 warehouse helpers for packing orders, someone to manage our retention, a creative agency, & more to help us scale We're building a real business, with real people, and it's such an awesome feeling Although running catbox feels like a rollercoaster ride and I have days where I start to panic (I feel like that'll happen at any level), it feels like we've hit our stride this past year and we have no intentions of slowing down I also want to thank the countless people who've helped me out with advice and tips this entire time, there's too many to name. Our client had a $300k day with basically no inventory. Days later, 75% of the pre-orders were produced by us, and already shipped. Let me break it down. I believe we run a very good 3PL. I believe we run a very good print shop. But I believe we are BEST IN CLASS at running both at the same time. Especially for very niche, spikey launches needing fast turnaround. On Thursday afternoon, we were made aware of a client's merch promo launching Friday. We did not have enough inventory to support their revenue goals. They asked us to allow continue selling while we made more inventory. We ordered the blanks and created PO's to print the garments. By Wednesday afternoon (3 business days later), 75% of their orders have been MADE + shipped. They wanted 2 weeks, we'll get it done in 1. That means: - Blank garments were received - Printed on 2 sides - Folded/bagged - Received into 3PL - Picked/packed/shipped - Across 4 designs There is no secret sauce other than demanding organization and communication within our team. We invest heavy in automation and processes to stay organized. What we do is niche. There are not many clients who need this level of reactive production+shipping. But for the ones who do, I believe we may be the best at it.

Wow. What a storm tonight in Pinellas County. Was on DPL with @DenisPhillipsWx tracking things with him. Decided to cut the video so he could track. We were all supposed to then go to dinner after. But..... Julie ended up Storm Chasing with me in her Tesla. I'm not sure she's too happy with me. Flooded roads. Hail. Banging off her car. Me freaking out. More hail. Turning here. Turning there. Dorsal Update: The last year of Dorsal has been an absolute mess. 🫠 I felt uninspired, stuck, and confused about where to take the brand. There were some wild behind-the-scenes happenings I can’t get into - but they threw me into a serious rut. This June marks 7 years since the start of Dorsal. 🤯 I'm incredibly proud of the things that Dorsal has been able to achieve: 167,000+ pounds of plastic removed from the ocean and over $50,000+ in charitable donations. But truthfully, this last year has been some of the lowest lows the brand has ever had. Dorsal isn't my full time gig and I don’t want it to be. What I do want is a creative outlet. Something I’m excited to build and play with. I eat, sleep, and breathe ecommerce, and I always will. Having something that’s mine, something that I’m proud of, something meaningful - that’s the new goal. About 7 months ago I had an idea to create something interactive. A true connection to the ocean on your wrist. After dozens of samples, cold outreach to marine research organizations, and an insane dev build (shoutout to @glen_pearl btw) - the spark came back! Last Friday, I launched the Ocean Animal Tracking Bracelets! With just the tap of your phone to the wave logo, you can track a real ocean animal of your choice (no app required). An interactive way to stay connected to the ocean and share with others. This is a new chapter for Dorsal and I’m excited to see where this goes. For now, the journey continues 🤘 #RespectTheWay

Does anyone have suggestions for finding creators on YouTube that are YouTube Shop Affiliates and/or actively tagging products?

@zachmstuck In my experience it was a lot of small transactions <$100. Amex was able to setup a rule blocking transactions less than $100 from going through. Haven’t had an issue since.
