The "ish" in English seems very appropriate. Celt, Latin, Saxon, Angle, Dane, Norman French plus all of the other global influences.

@RealGeoffBarton @guardian Also, we know from the lockdowns that teacher assessment is fair, accurate and rigorous. The counter argument is that grades went up but in truth, many pupils who cannot cope with exams or have family or health problems received grades more reflective of their abilities.
