I’m a Bay Area native and we are supposed to hate the Dodgers but they are the best sports franchise in the nation. They spend money, they have 4 million fans each year, great ceremonies, the gold on their uniform tonight is flawless. This is what greatness looks like.

And yeah acad standards are relaxed for athletes (as at all schools) but there've still been MANY who were turned down due to grades

@malber @NicoleAuerbach You can absolutely judge their athletic department’s academics on that. The whole “Michigan as an elite academic school for athletes” has always been garbage. It is an elite school for normal students but that’s irrelevant for football and basketball. Even moreso in this era.

No they arent winning NL west im not that naive but I dont think the Padres got worse either. Cease is overrated Arraez is wildly overrated and is a 0 WAR player unless hes hitting. 340 which is not easy to do and Suarez is another guy who's stats were inflated due to Pads playing in alot of close games hence so many save opps last 2 yrs
