It actually makes sense once you look beyond the ‘safe-haven’ headline. During the Iran escalation, surging oil prices led to increased inflation fears, which in turn raised expectations for rate hikes, strengthened the dollar, and negatively impacted gold (a non-yielding asset with higher opportunity costs).
However, de-escalation reverses this trend. Lower oil prices result in a more favorable inflation outlook, increasing the likelihood of Fed rate cuts or at least no further hikes. Consequently, bond yields decrease. When safe bond yields drop, fixed-income assets become less attractive compared to growth assets like stocks, which offer potential capital appreciation. As a result, capital shifts towards riskier investments, the dollar often weakens, and gold benefits from this shift.

Now that we've officially lost the .382 at $100, i'll be looking for a turn at 2 primary spots. The first is the 50SMA which has confluence with .5 retracement. Below that and we get our classic $ASTS 40%+ pullback down to the bottom of the channel. This is my "all in" spot, which has confluence with a huge volume shelf and the golden pocket retracement zone.
