@muneeb Why would a decentralized system turn into distributed system if membership is not open? To me the system is still decentralized. The discriminator is a central or managing component which allows other nodes to append to the shared data...

7/ Open membership and globally shared state are critical aspects of modern decentralized systems. Diem (formerly Libra) is not a decentralized system because it doesn’t have open membership. PGP won’t give you decentralized domains because it doesn’t have globally shared state.
