The air-conditioned maternity ward at Peace Arch Hospital was the perfect place to meet our new friend Quinn last night. Baby boy and his mama are awesome. Staff here are amazing. Hope you are keeping cool. ❤️
Delighted to announce I've taken a buyout from Postmedia. It's long past time to go. My last day is Jan. 16.
What's next for me? My book, The Boy Who Saw What Wasn't There, due out in 2022. And after that? Critical acclaim. (One hopes. If not, another job, I guess.)
@nickeagland This is a lost for the newspaper! You are a true talent and an incredible human being! It was a great pleasure to have collaborated with you on so many memorable experiences. Enjoy your family time, much deserved!
Hi! Some news. Today’s my last shift at The Province & Vancouver Sun. I took a buyout.
Love these newspapers. Adore my colleagues. Was an honour to tell your stories.
After quiet family time, I'll seek a communications gig.
Been an incredible six years. Thank you! 🙂🖖
Today is my physically-distant birthday. It started with a surprise breakfast with my tiny family in an empty park and will end with a Zoom beer with pals. Love it.
Thanks @risingaction, and everyone else for the kind words. Newspapers are at their best when they are a team event. So thank you to everyone over the years, decades actually, who helped me succeed in a very cool career.
