Every prime number — 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13 — leaves a fingerprint in the gap between itself and the next prime. Those gaps aren't random. They follow a strict set of rules that can be mapped onto just six positions on a circle, forming a machine that governs where every prime can go next. This is the Prime Gap State Machine A 6 state automaton running on modular arithmetic. The six positions are the only residues modulo 9 that prime numbers can occupy {1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8}. The Spine positions — 0, 3, and 6 — are permanently excluded. No prime above 3 ever lands there. What you're watching is every prime number moving through those six positions as it flows along the number line. The glowing yellow dots are primes in motion. Each dot travels from one node to the next according to the gap rule: add the gap, take the result mod 9, land on the next state. Zero violations across tens of millions of primes tested. This is a visualzation of the Continuous Temporal Funnel (CTF) derived from prime numbers. Here's why that funnel shape isn't a choice it's forced. Start with one equation. λ(t) = e^(−βf₀t). That's just exponential decay the same math that describes radioactive decay or a hot cup of coffee cooling down. Plug in time, get a number that shrinks toward zero. Now here's the trick. Instead of plotting that number on a flat line, treat it as a radius. At each moment in time, draw a circle with that radius. At t=0 the circle is wide. As t increases, the circle shrinks. Stack all those circles on top of each other going downward through time, and you get a cone. A funnel. That's the entire geometric secret of a funnel shape, it's what exponential decay looks like when you let it sweep around in a circle while shrinking. Now add the second piece. Particles don't just fall straight down they swirl. Earlier we dropped π onto the prime lattice and watched it lock into a dodecahedron. Now we’ve added Euler’s number *e* and together they force something even stranger. You’re seeing a cyan dodecahedron (12 faces, space) and a magenta icosahedron (20 faces, time). They’re perfect duals: flip one inside out and you get the other. Cyan threads race through the outer shell carrying the infinite digits of π. Magenta threads dart inside, tracing the endless chaos of *e*. Here's something wild you can try right now with any calculator. Pick the number 1. Double it to get 2. Double again to get 4. Keep doubling: 8, 16, 32, 64. Now here's the trick after each step, ask what remainder you get when you divide by 9. 1, 2, 4, 8, 7, 5... and then you're back to 1. Six steps and you're home. Try starting at 7 instead. You get 7, 5, 1, 2, 4, 8... and back to 7. Same six numbers. Different starting point, same loop. Try starting at 3. You get 3, 6, 3, 6... it just bounces between two numbers forever and never joins the big loop. Try starting at 0 or 9. You go nowhere. 0 doubled is 0. Stuck forever. So every number from 0 to 9 does one of three things when you keep doubling mod 9. It either gets stuck at zero, bounces between 3 and 6, or joins the big six-number loop: 1, 2, 4, 8, 7, 5.
