@pavsmith We had a disappointing meal there a few years back too - surprising given the reputation, and we haven’t felt the need to go back since.

however, my med/rare ribeye on the bone, apparently a house speciality, was v.disappointing. clearly waterbathed and creepily soft/spongy. grey coloured throughout, with no pink anywhere. the grill scoring on the outside clearly a last minute thing. shame, as a nice piece of meat

interesting meal at @IvyWinchBrass today. my pre-lunch negroni was nothing short of amazing. one of the best i've ever drunk. S&P calamari was nice, not thrilling, but nice. the aussie cabernet was also outstanding. a truly australian expression of cabernet. delicious!

@pavsmith @jtonline @PranMan I had that exact “pleasure” for work 18 months back - economy direct to Perth then a quick pit stop before on to Melbourne. Surprisingly it wasn’t as bad as I feared, and got the total journey over with quicker!
