I'm not advocating to deal Jaylen Brown. I've said there are a select few I'd move him for (Ex: Giannis). But, context matters. IF JB wants out, I think it's inarguable he has tremendous trade value:
- He'd be the BPA, hands down
- Coming off his best season
- In the thick of his prime
- Three years left on his contract
- As many as 4-5 teams reportedly already interested

IF Jaylen Brown is OK staying in Boston, here's what I'd do:
- Keep the Jays together
- Call the Pels about TM3 and dangle Derrick White
- If that doesn't work, check on other White trade options
- Move up in tonight's draft by dealing #27 & Hauser
- Get aggressive w/ the TPE
- Get aggressive w/ the MLE

The Red Sox are incredibly stupid for not re-signing Kyle Schwarber after the 2021 season, but it still blows my mind that the Cubs non-tendered this man, a homegrown World Series hero, because they didn’t want to pay him $8 mil. A future Hall of Famer non-tendered in his prime.

@mchiaramonte121 @Savageboston Boston’s sitting at 5% flat plus that 4% millionaires surtax on everything over about 1.1 million, so basically 9% on almost all of Giannis’s salary. His deal’s in the 58 million range right now, so the difference adds up fast over the length of the contract. 👀 man that’s a lot
