Personally, I would have required they all were arrested and their parents/carers come to collect them from police custody. Contrary to comments and narratives being pushed by some, this is not a policing problem, but rather an insight into what the future may hold. Young children during school half-term, decide to storm a store and cause absolute carnage, steal from the business in numbers and cause significant alarm to other members of the public while filming their criminal activity for content. Where does this sort of behaviour graduate to? What is the logical next step from this? How many of the parents of these children will know what they have been doing?

People are barricaded in shops. Others are unable to get down the street. Why? Because this is the “Clapham youth” in London. They have stormed the high street and are looting shops. Does not seem like anyone is being arrested yet. Instead police stand and watch. You can guarantee that if they were a large group of white kids they would be arrested in minutes. This is not the first time they have done this in the last few days. Their behaviour is feral.

A teacher has been banned from the profession after admitting buying a vape for a pupil and hiding other students' vapes in his classroom. Hassan Moosa, 28, also admitted having sexual conversations with pupils and gave one girl a lift home unaccompanied, against school policy. Moosa, a teacher at Warlingham School, in Surrey, was given a prohibition order after written evidence was presented to the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA). In a statement to the panel, Moosa said he had "acted on a stupid impulse" when he gave a vape to a female pupil, telling her not to tell anyone else, actions he said he deeply regretted. Moosa said he gave the same girl a lift in his car because her journey by public transport would take an hour, while it was a 10-minute drive.
