What this article does not mention is that it survived the #17thc because it was preserved by the historian Sir James Ware. All in his letter to Archbishop Ussher dated 21 September 1627, which includes references to many other valuable Irish medieval manuscripts

Did you know that there was a pillory opposite St Michan's Church, in Church Street, Dublin, in the late 18th century? But if you were put there for sedition, there was no fruit-throwing, residents of the area being themselves of the rebellious kind. See below a hilarious story of their passive-aggressive support for a Mr Dunne, pilloried for that offence in 1793!
