The Online Safety Act is an insane law that requires Internet companies to parse 100,000 words of regulations just to run a basic online forum.
It will turn the UK into a technological backwater unless it is completely repealed.

Apple confirmed on their dev site this is in all builds of iOS 26 globally not a UK only thing, if you install it as soon as you country passes this your phone will get bricked overnight.

@ChibiReviews Do NOT update to iOS 26! Once you get this you can throw your iPhone away, your browser will be censored, you can't send email, you cant check weather and you can't even sign out of your useless Apple ID to sell the device to another moron. Sell your iDevice before you get hit.

Apple iOS activates OS-level web filtering in the UK unless you ID verify.
OPERATING SYSTEM LEVEL WEB FILTERTING unless you upload your ID.

I do have to wonder if the impact on modern audiences of such technical shots is actually worth the time and expense of planning and filming them. I think the modern viewer is no longer thinking 'Wow, how did they pull that off', but 'He's running through a corridor'

So think about who actually passes all checks: no dev tools installed, hasn't opened Terminal in over 30 days, and is now pasting something copied from a web browser. Apple doesn't need to analyze the command when the behavior is suspicious.

But the warning doesn't fire for everyone. There are 5 checks that ALL must pass:
1. Copied from a listed browser, email, or chat app
2. Mac was set up more than 24 hours ago
3. You are NOT a developer
4. You have not opened Terminal in the last 30 days
5. You have not clicked "Paste Anyway" before
