@scottmelker It’s a matter of who’s the chosen one. Western union move millions #XRP is going to move trillions. It’s like the internet browser, some use Firefox, others Chrome, others Safari. B2B will use XRP retail might use SOL. It’s not just crossboarder payments. It’s tokenization.

I say this with no disrespect, looking for an actual answer. What is the current pitch for $XRP? The token, not Ripple the company. Western Union chose Solana for their stablecoin. Swift went with Linea on ETH, which was the selling point I heard for years? Stablecoins have clearly taken the reigns for payments, so I get their stablecoin being in play. But what utility does $XRP have? Again, not trolling. Asking.

I genuinely have never met a single person who holds $XRP. XRP has to be the most successful scam in history.

Ripple partnered with Moneygram 6 years ago and it ended after the lawsuit. Western Union issuing a single USD stable coin on Solana is nice adoption, but mostly a lukewarm event in today's world of mass adoption. The fact that Solana and its lead dev are calling this a dark day for XRP shows they are: - Very jealous of XRPs market cap - Have no idea what Ripple or XRP have done since 2019 - Think Western Union is a big win for them when wins for other chains involve trillions and quadrillions of possible value - That XRP is in their head - That they can't even celebrate their own announcement without trying to market that "bridge currencies" and XRP are useless. You have to really be punching up to make your own PR release about another coin. All this has done is reveal the immense insecurities of SOL supporters including their official account. Eric Trump said to end the tribalism - but here we are, still getting XRP hate on a pretty mundane Western Union stable coin announcement. I have no hate for SOL. But making your PR wins about another coin is just not a confident look.
