@michaelfishtv @LukeSampe I just can’t believe 2 meteorologists don’t understand the concept of 20 year floods. NE WI has a 5% chance of major flooding each year. Major floods have been recorded in WI since the Mississippi River flood in 1785. Dozens since then. Dozens more in the future.

@LukeSampe @TomGrothJr Sampe, just stop with this guy. He loves this. We don’t have time for it. No matter what we know, he thinks this is normal. Good. Then live on a hilltop.
English

What should the village of Shiocton do to guard against these 20 year floods? Keeping in mind - they have 920 residents and I’m sure budgets are thin.
Right now we have two communities evacuated (New London and Shiocton) due to “usual spring melt that happens every year”.
Yes we know the Wolf floods most years and you know what it’s usually not a big deal.
This is different and reporting on it and giving a heads up on more flooding isn’t crying wolf (pun not intended) or acting like sky is falling.
English

@TomGrothJr @LukeSampe And the fact your whole feed is reposting your own tweets shows how much of a weirdo you are. Go away.
English

@TomGrothJr @LukeSampe And Tom, I’m done. You’ve wasted our time. Final thought, you’re an idiot fighting about the weather with people whose education and background is the weather. Hopefully your lake is back up to level.
English

@LukeSampe @TomGrothJr No, I’m just licensed. A Class M for motorcycle. I got this.
English

@TomGrothJr @LukeSampe Tom, you don’t make any sense. You said the sky isn’t falling in one tweet, then say all this will get worse than ever. Pick a side.
English

@michaelfishtv @LukeSampe YES you can. Unprecedented? Luke’s 20 year timeline on flooding is not long enough. Wisconsin will see heavy snow pack in March and heavy rain in April. It will happen again - guaranteed. The wolf crested at 14.1’ in 1922. It may crest at 16’ by 2122.
English

@LukeSampe @TomGrothJr Tom, you’re not going to see a map like this many times in your life, especially in April.

English

@TomGrothJr @michaelfishtv Tom, we’re not just talking about spring flooding on the Wolf - it’s the fact we are at record crests with widespread flooding in just about every county south of hwy 64 in NE WI.
English

@JeremyLange14 @LukeSampe @TomGrothJr Ha ha! It’s all about that Madison lake level as I watch a small river going along my basement floor. 😅
English

@michaelfishtv @LukeSampe @TomGrothJr My brain hurts, all I know is if we get any more rain it’s gonna be even more of a mess, and I hope his lake goes up the foot he wants.
English

@LukeSampe @TomGrothJr The “sky isn’t falling,” Luke. Sometimes the Madison lakes are low, and sometimes they’re high. So build someplace else for bad weather and record flooding. Wait, which side should I be arguing? I lost track in the sake of just arguing.
English

@michaelfishtv @TomGrothJr Wolf is forecast to crest a record 15.1’.
English

@TomGrothJr @LukeSampe “Flood control dams?” What, to flood someone else upstream? Luke and myself have been Meteorologists in this state for decades. You can’t just rebuild something to take unprecedented, record weather events. Sometimes the weather is more powerful than anything you can prepare for.
English

@LukeSampe The wolf river at Shiocton had a previous record of 14.1’ in 1922. It has reached >12’ 4 or 5 times in the past 100 years all in April. Snow melt, spring rain, logging altered watershed, land use changes, development, no flood control dams. You may need a >25 year memory.
English

@GroovyKevMan Wow. He’s really talented still at this age. I had no idea.

@JebraFaushay Give the guy a break. A superior version can be found on @YouTube here. John cooks. Click: youtu.be/sOLPu4Qu2jI?si…

@MkeMetroWx So, you still think that was worth your anxiousness? It was mainly flooding and hail.

@michaelfishtv We live right by you Michael (just off Claas). Water up in our front yard, neighbors driveway is under water.

@Ginger_Zee I have referred to it as the Wisconsin/Illinois border for 20 years. Never had one person complain. Even our baseball and football games between the states are called, “The Border Battle.”

@Bhess @KentGarrison People don’t understand how dim theses low cost TVs are. That’s why they’re so cheap. My old 2004 Aquos TVs are brighter than the new Walmart Samsungs I bought. I didn’t research how awful they were. Don’t buy cheap TVs.
English

@KentGarrison You have to research and try to get a quality tv.
That low price tv is not going to be very good.
Even still the high quality tvs are affordable.
