Mr. Giuliano Fragnito, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Italy, paid a courtesy call on me at the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Riyadh. Our discussions underscored the longstanding and cordial relations between Kenya and Italy, anchored in strong cooperation across key sectors, including trade and investment, health, agriculture, education, and people-to-people exchanges.
We reaffirmed our commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing collaboration in areas of mutual interests.
Alhamdulilah, I officially graduated from the University of Nairobi @uonbi with a PhD in International Studies. This journey has been long and challenging, but through perseverance and Allah’s guidance, I have finally achieved this milestone.
To celebrate this achievement, I hosted a memorable dinner at Weston Hotel Nairobi surrounded by family, friends, and esteemed colleagues. This celebration was not only to mark my academic success but also an opportunity to reflect on the journey since I was entrusted with the ambassadorial role by HE President @WilliamsRuto. Due to the demands of this role, I had not had the chance to host a gathering to celebrate with my people until now.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Mandera's pioneer governor and current senator, Hon @aliiroba, Mandera West MP, Hon. Adan Haji; PS Ismail Madey; Former Ambassador Mahat; and a host of MCAs. Each speaker took the opportunity to thank H.E. President William Ruto for his trust and commitment to empowering our region through key appointments.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate this milestone. Your presence made the day even more special. A heartfelt thank you to my family, friends, and the community for your unwavering support throughout this journey.
As we celebrate today, I remain committed to serving our nation with dedication and humility. Asanteni sana, and may Allah bless us all.
A proud moment for our family as my brother, Dr. Amb. Suleiman Ibrahim Roba, graduates with a PhD in International Studies from The University of Nairobi! Your hard work, dedication, and pursuit of excellence inspire us all. Congratulations on this remarkable achievement! The sky is the limit!
@El_Gee_18@aliiroba You can’t close our eyes we all know that 2010 mandera county and 2024 is never looking same, but one thing is we can all eat from same plate and someone will still cry hungry!
Indeed, the verse "وَإِن تَعُدُّوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ لَا تُحْسُوهَا" "And if you should count the favors of Allah, you could not enumerate them" (Quran 16:18). This verse emphasizes the boundless and countless blessings bestowed by Allah upon humanity, reminding us of the importance of gratitude and acknowledgment of these blessings.
We need to see all unconstitutional offices scrapped off. We don’t want to hear about CASs, the offices of the wife of the President - LSK President, Faith Odhiambo
@aliiroba They are not speaking from the script. True definition of being inept and insensitive. The accuser is seeking sympathy after falling out with his boss. Time to pack up and leave.
These recent tragic events during demonstrations against the finance bill highlight a disturbing trend of deflecting responsibility at the highest levels of our government. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s persistent narrative, blaming Noordin Haji, the Director General of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), is unfounded and morally reprehensible. From the start, Mr. Gachagua’s discontent with Mr. Haji’s appointment has been rooted in regional biases rather than professional capabilities of Noordin, undermining our nation’s principles of unity and meritocracy.
In the context of these demonstrations, the entire country was aware of the public’s discontent with the finance bill and the planned demonstrations thereof making the resulting chaos and loss of lives predictable outcomes of events of such magnitude. Blaming Noordin Haji is a convenient excuse that diverts attention from the government’s own General responsibility accountability to take the political decision. Leadership demands integrity, honesty, and a commitment to citizens’ well-being, which Mr. Gachagua’s actions fail to reflect the fact that Noordin Haji doesn’t hold a political office that announces decisions through political means he knows the right channels that intelligence information follow to the presidency. Such scapegoating is not only evil but also shifts focus from real issues and fosters regional division.
We must demand better from our leaders. The NIS’s role is critical to national security, and its leadership should be respected regardless of regional origins. It is imperative that the Deputy President stops using tragic events as a political tool and instead addresses the root causes of public discontent.
Mr. Gachagua’s rhetoric against Noordin Haji is unjust and detrimental to our nation’s unity and progress. Leaders must rise above regional biases and work towards the common good, ensuring every Kenyan can trust in the fairness and integrity of our national institutions.
Zakayo and his stooges at @SafaricomPLC think that Kenyans are children. The revolution will continue, whether @WilliamsRuto interferes with Internet, MPESA services, or declares a State of Emergency. No brake. No reverse gear. #RutoMustGo. #RejectFinanceBill2024
