I love the contrast of the USA chanting hockey team in the middle of the of the press gallery where of course the press are not supposed to cheer or take sides. What a look.

@EWErickson Erick I've been in the press gallery for several SOTUs. Media doesn't stand up for any aspect of any SOTU. The job is to sit there and observe and write what's happening, no matter who is at the podium or in the galleries. (Also: Go USA Hockey - what a story!)

Gallup consistently shows Dems only love their country when they are in charge of it. The GOP pretty consistently loves the country. The reaction by the press to Team USA going to the SOTU is a reminder that they are Dems who are upset others love the country all the time.

@marcthiessen You must live in the wrong neighborhood! We had multiple teen agers in Fairfax putting word out on social media that they'd shovel for people. Thankfully I have my own teen ager who helped!

I’m disappointed that no kids ever came by my neighborhood and offered to shovel snow, could have made hundreds, even thousands this week. What’s happened to this generation?

@mattyglesias @DCDPW I don't get it with DC and plowing. My tiny side street in a woodsy neighborhood in Fairfax has been plowed multiple times, along with the rest of the neighborhood. Driving was no problem this morning or even yesterday.
