Any good alternatives to Pocket for read-it-latering? Longtime user but have been disappointed with how the product has gone downhill recently, especially the bad list search even on a paid plan

We’ll get that out soon and thanks for raising - love your newsletter and want to make sure Pocket continues to support your flow!

@glynmoody @azeem @pocketsupport @Pocket We also added a new view (and cleaned up the "list view") so that the action icons appear directly and you don't need to hover. That might be a preferred setup depending on what you are trying to do.

@glynmoody @azeem @pocketsupport @Pocket Hey @azeem - Matt from Pocket here. We did update the web app recently, but if I understand you correctly, this should still work from desktop view. If you hover over an item and click the three dots there is a "View Original" link. Is that what you need? If not let me know!

@Joshmedia So Pocket has an integration with Kobo (a Kindle competitor) made by Rakuten. Details here: help.getpocket.com/article/1006-g… I’m not sure whether Kobo handles PDFs or not.

I am looking for an e-reader (with a great screen) that supports read-it-later online posts and PDFs without the siren of apps. I wish my kindle worked here but it's not a good option from what I can tell. What are folks using

@dwhly @rasulkireev @Pocket @hypothes_is We're actually reviewing/refreshing our handling of rel=canonical site wide. Will make sure these pages get included. With that said — question, those pages are only accessible to the user that has them saved. Not publicly available. Can it still work with @hypothes_is?

@rasulkireev @Pocket @hypothes_is @mkoidin The good news is if they’re open to it, it’d be simple. A “5 minute change” given that they preserve the URL of the original page and expose it elsewhere (“View original”)

Anyone knows how to make notes / annotations in @Pocket? I don't think this is feature exists. Maybe someone knows a workaround? Dying to have this feature. Currently making notes with @hypothes_is, but would like to do this within Pocket.

@hunterwalk @austin_rief @zachweinberg @chrisfralic @Pocket Hmm indeed. Pocket only really works with publicly available links - so not optimized well for (private) email. If you are trying to save links from a newsletter and you are on iOS or Android you can typically use Share Extension/Share Sheet to send to Pocket.

@mkoidin Across different topics, eg currently trending posts in health for example. At the moment you need to follow people, but most users will not know who most of these people are so it would be better if you could let users follow topics. Pocket brings you the best of the web etc 2/2

@mkoidin Hi Matt, I love pocket and I am a premium user. I think the killer feature of pocket is the ability to find interesting content. I think you should consider improving this area of the app as it is a bit limited. Eg it should be easier to see top saved posts 1/2
