My favorite part is when Frank tries to relate to Matt with the whole “I can hear my little boy” bit, and at first it’s really humanizing and sympathetic

Have children and live in poverty.
Be financially stable DINKs.
There isn't an in-between. There isn't a path to give your children the same quality of life you had.

birthrate is very simple, if you go to undergrad you dont "start your life" until 22-23, which then you are a broke young person in a hcol city....you dont even have enough money to put your OWN roots down until 26-28 at best, "adolescence" can easily push 30 in this scenario...
