@modeluke_smith It’s from an interview with Alice Davis with Lou Mongello in his book The Disney Interviews. But she also has told this story quite frequently, and it’s in several other interviews as well.

Easily one of my favorite stories from Pirates of the Caribbean was when the male sculptors didn’t listen to Alice Davis, leading to an uncomfortable consequence. “There was quite an emotional moment with all of them” was how Alice described it when she made her suggestion.

We probably do not all realise the state of the UK TV Industry at the moment. It’s pretty dam bleak & we know Doctor Who naturally will be one of the most expensive shows for the BBC. I don’t love the thought of another streaming partner. But in reality it’s probably essential.
