I am deeply troubled to learn that a person in custody died on Rikers Island this morning. My thoughts are with their loved ones, who are now facing an unimaginable loss.
Transparency and accountability are essential, and the Department of Correction is conducting an investigation.
While we do not yet know the cause of death, too many have died on Rikers Island for far too long. Rikers must close, and we will pursue every avenue to do so as quickly as possible.

What exactly is the issue here? That a Christian family took something once associated with evil and redeemed it for good? That victims actually got compensated? That Huffines has said he will fully cooperate with any law enforcement agency that wants to look around the estate?
This story only exists because Huffines is leading in the polls by double digits and the establishment is panicking. If he were some do-nothing career politician, you’d never hear a word about it. Think about that.

🚨 HUGE 🚨 The Texas Businessman who purchased Jeffrey Epstein’s New Mexico ranch is now offering to let investigators come in and see what they can find! He is a hero for that in my opinion. ⚠️ According to reports, Texas Comptroller candidate Don Huffines purchased a New Mexico property formerly owned by Jeffrey Epstein and has rechristened it Rancho de San Rafael, named for the saint associated with physical and spiritual healing. A spokesman for the Huffines family told us “This was obviously a dark place, and we wanted to put light in a dark place,” adding that “the new entrance will reflect that mission and will read, ‘BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO COME IN THE NAME OF THE LORD.’ What the enemy once meant for evil, God can redeem for good.” Some on social media are questioning Huffines’ purchase of the property, but he quickly shot down those questions by emphatically stating that any federal or state law enforcement agency would be allowed access to the property to investigate or search it. All they have to do is ask. Worth noting that the proceeds from the sale of the property also went to Epstein’s victims. This is the best-case scenario for this building! Someone who is transparent and cooperative, victims are being compensated, and a place that stood for evil deeds is now being turned into a healing retreat. God really does work in incredible ways! 🙏🏻

Today while walking my 3 year old daughter a group of “Slava Ukraini” protesters followed us around and shouted as my daughter grew increasingly anxious and scared.
I decided to speak with the protesters in the hopes that I could trade a few minutes of conversation for them leaving my toddler alone. (Nearly all of them agreed.)
It was a mostly respectful conversation, but if you’re chasing a 3-year-old as part of a political protest, you’re a shit person.
