@D_Blanchflower Because they don’t give two hoots about anyone apart from themselves. I can put it another way, but I try and avoid swearing on Twitter.

@charlesarthur Difficult to tell for me year-on-year. I replaced the boiler in October which lead to roughly 30% drop in gas use. Thermostat is at 16.5, runs 24/7 in a well-insulated house.
English

Here’s my question: what temp is your house thermostat set at, and have you ever tried turning it down?
Mine is at 17.5 - turned down from 18.5 in Jan, and compared to Feb 2021 I used 25% less gas kWh from actual meter readings. (This year much milder than last, but even so.)

This is not going to happen. I'm in a Hive Heating FB group* and people have their thermostats on 22 degrees through the NIGHT, never mind during the day! Insanity. *Yes, I am that boring theguardian.com/environment/20…

@DanKaszeta @sworrall The IRS send me a tax statement every year for $0.00. I‘m not a US citizen, worked there on a P1 visa six years ago. Never mess with the IRS.

@DanKaszeta She would have to find a country that would let him in first.

@tomhfh You should definitely launch you own mission deep into space. I’m sure both your viewers will tune in.

@estellecostanza Two Pfizer jabs I had a sore arm and felt tired. Moderna booster wiped me out for two days. Luckily, I had it on a Friday so I could legitimately hide under the duvet for the entire weekend.

Strange that the French fishing committee are “ready to block anything” yet their coastal guards cant block migrants from crossing over to UK waters 🤔

Just finished rehearsing our launch show. Now for the real thing in an hour! Gulp. 8pm tonight @GBNEWS

@duncanhames Provided all the furniture is from Ikea and the PM has to put it together live on TV, I can get behind that idea.
English

Unpopular opinion: I think I would prefer the taxpayer paid for the upkeep of Downing Street... and feeding the PM while he works ‘above the shop’.
Aubrey Allegretti@breeallegretti
BREAKING: Lord Geidt finds the Trust Boris Johnson wanted to set up to pay for Downing Street refurb "was not subjected to a scheme of rigorous project management by officials". He says this was a "significant failing" and the PM "unwisely" proceeded with the refurb.

@mrmarksteel Homing pigeons with memory sticks up the bum might be the answer. We’d wind up with bird flu and some really angry pigeons, but hey ho.
English

@NickBoles Well, yes. But when it comes to “improved as a PM” he was starting from a pretty low baseline.
