Who was the last British PM to leave the country a better place than it was on the day they took office?

You don't need a grass-fed label in Britain. All our beef is grass-fed. There is a small, beautifully marketed section of the British supermarket where the beef is labelled "grass-fed." It costs 40% more than the unlabelled beef in the next aisle. A quiet truth about British beef: the unlabelled beef is also grass-fed. You are not paying for a production standard. You are paying for the label. Britain has grass. Approximately the whole country. 70% of our agricultural land is permanent pasture that cannot grow anything else. British cattle are finished on grass and silage because that is what this country grows. Every cow you have ever eaten here, statistically speaking, was on grass for almost the entirety of her life. The organic label means something. The free-range label means something. The pasture-for-life label means something for a specific tier of practice. But plain "grass-fed," on British beef, is telling you something the alternative product is already doing. The unlabelled beef is the same beef, from the same cow, on the same grass, raised by the same farmer. Save the £4 and spend it on a Sunday roast from a small upland farm instead: they will make rather better use of it than the sticker did.

Lord Hermer is a disgrace. And the fact that Keir Starmer brought him into government tells you everything you need to know about the PM. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/04/2…

For the love of all that is good can we please just stop all the bullshit, start the process of rejoining the EU, tell the right wingers & Trump sycophants to go fuck themselves, put the last decade of clusterfucks behind us, & start to improve people’s lives & finance again.

Exclusive form @ProducerOllie This is likely to be the last PMQs of the parliamentary session The prime minister is planning to send MPs away next Tuesday, more than a week before the public goes to the polls for the elections on May 7. It won't be back until May 13 Backbenchers have been told to expect the prorogation of parliament to happen next Tuesday evening. Number 10 is said to want to avoid further questions about the appointment of Mandelson before the elections

Precisely - instead @Keir_Starmer has turned a dark Whitehall farce into a Shakespearean tragedy with (political) bodies everywhere.
Richard Carter@RichCarterRTC

@adamboultonTABB @keirstarmer If he’d just apologised and said ‘I made a mistake but with the best of intentions for managing the important Trump relationship’, it would have all gone away.
